DISABILITY
An illness or injury that keeps employees out of work for an extended time can be a serious financial hardship. NRP provides income replacement benefits to eligible employees to assist with this hardship if an employee becomes disabled and cannot work due to a non-work-related illness or injury (including pregnancy).
Short Term Disability
NRP provides Short-Term Disability (“STD”) at no cost to regular, full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours per week who have completed 90 days of continuous employment. STD insurance replaces 60% of an employee’s income up to $2,500 per week for up to 13 weeks due to sickness or injury, after a seven-day waiting period.
Effective July 1, 2024, waiting period is waived if hospitalized.
